INTERIOR DESIGN
PORTFOLIO

Showcasing a variety of projects across commercial and residential spaces. This collection reflects my creative evolution from university studies to commercial briefs.

BACKGROUND

UNIVERSITY

WORK EXPERIENCE

COLLABORATION

Studying interior design at Heriot Watt University provided me with crucial skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CAD, and SketchUp, enhancing my ability to visualise and communicate designs. Additionally, my undergraduate education laid strong foundations of critical thinking and problem solving. These core skills, underpinned by a strong understanding of design theory, helped to shape a seamless transition into my current career path.

I am an Interior designer with over two years of professional experience, designing projects for educational, commercial, and residential spaces. Creating a variety of spaces, ranging from commercial designs that reflect the brand's values and identity, to residential projects where I've created bespoke furniture and tailored spaces to meet clients' exact needs and preferences. My experience in the industry has enhanced my adaptability, communication skills, and creative vision, resulting in successful projects and strong client relationships.

Throughout the process of designing these projects, I have worked closely with my clients to ensure that their vision is brought to life. Working as part of a team alongside the sales team and architects, collaborating in selecting materials and furnishings that tie the design together and meet the client's budget.

COMMERCIAL

During the design process for Genesis. I worked closely with both the client and architect to bring the client's vision to life. It was essential to incorporate the brand's identity into the design, utilising both primary and secondary branding colors. While emphasizing the brand within the office space, the client wanted a more lively ambiance for the café, characterized by bright colors that still reflected the brand.

EDUCATION

Designing a new space for The University of Glasgow's Law Library. To promote collaboration and flexibility, I incorporated breakout areas, collaborative zones, meeting spaces, and modular furniture to create a dynamic environment for active learning. Prioritising adaptability, my design enabled both students and educators to thrive in these engaging educational settings

RESIDENTIAL

The brief was to design a walk-in wardrobe space for a client, which required bespoke furniture to align with their vision. Careful selection of fabrics and attention to detail were crucial in achieving the desired aesthetic. CAD software was used to produce detailed drawings, while SketchUp was utilised to bring the space to life visually, showcasing the proposed design.

UNIVERSITY PROJECT

In my final year interior design project, I developed a space specifically for youth transitioning out of the foster care system. The focus was to provide a safe, supportive environment while offering essential guidance and resources for independence. The design prioritised comfort and security, with communal and private areas carefully planned.
